Job summary

Bigbasket in Maharashtra's Chakan is seeking an experienced Inventory & Operations Lead to oversee stock movements, planograms, and distribution centre operations.

You will manage a team of up to 100 staff, drive stock accuracy, audits, and loss prevention while partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize fulfillment and delivery performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, data-driven decision making, and improving stock integrity across the DC network.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large teams (up to 100 employees).
• Strong stock management and inventory control skills.
• Ability to develop and implement planograms and optimize DC operations.

Responsibilities

• Overall monitoring and control of incoming and outgoing stock and deliveries across business functions.
• Monitor stock levels and conduct periodic stock counts and physical inventory checks.
• Develop and implement planograms as per business requirements, including location changes and planogram standardization.
• Supervise and manage a team of up to 100 employees, including performance evaluation and staff development.
• Conduct interviews, support recruitment, and provide training and onboarding to new employees.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock movements and deliveries in the database and prepare regular reports.
• Conduct inventory audits, reconciliations, and prepare MIS reports.
• Ensure accurate TO/TI reconciliations and maintain strong control over Goods in Transit (GIT).
• Drive reduction in stock damages, expiries, pilferage, and overall shrinkage.
