Job summary

Genesis Poweronics India Private Limited is seeking an Inventory Management Executive to oversee stock records, forecast demand, and coordinate across departments for timely availability of goods.

The role emphasizes cycle counts, procurement liaison, and reporting on stock levels with a focus on accuracy and process improvements. Hyderabad-based position with ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years (or more) experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain.
• Strong analytical ability; comfortable working with data and KPIs.
• Proficiency with inventory/ERP systems and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication & coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records (incoming, outgoing, transfers)
• Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation of physical vs system quantities
• Identify and investigate discrepancies, shrinkage, or obsolescence
• Analyze sales trends, seasonal patterns, and forecasts to predict inventory needs
• Decide reorder points, safety stock levels, and lead time buffers
• Coordinate with warehouse/operations team for receipt, storage, and dispatch of items
• Ensure proper labeling, storage location management, and optimal space utilization
• Facilitate internal transfers between locations or departments
• Liaise with procurement/vendor teams to ensure timely deliveries and manage lead times
• Follow up on delayed or missing shipments
• Provide input on vendor performance and suggest improvements
• Generate reports on stock levels, turnover, aging, and stock utilization
• Monitor stock-to-sales ratio, carrying cost, stockouts
• Present inventory insights and recommendations to management
• Develop and refine inventory control procedures, SOPs, and best practices
• Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and suggest corrective actions
• Assist in implementing inventory management software enhancements or system upgrades
• Work cross-functionally with procurement, operations, sales, and finance teams
• Align inventory goals with overall business operations and customer demands
• Train or guide junior staff or warehouse personnel on inventory protocols

This role involves maintaining accurate stock records, forecasting demand, managing stock movements, and coordinating across departments to ensure timely availability of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, good organizational ability, and experience with inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Monitoring & Control

• Maintain accurate inventory records (incoming, outgoing, transfers)
• Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation of physical vs system quantities
• Identify and investigate discrepancies, shrinkage, or obsolescence

Forecasting & Replenishment

• Analyze sales trends, seasonal patterns, and business forecasts to predict inventory needs
• Decide reorder points, safety stock levels, and lead time buffers
• Initiate purchase requisitions or orders when stock levels approach thresholds

Stock Movement & Warehousing

• Coordinate with warehouse/operations team for receipt, storage, and dispatch of items
• Ensure proper labeling, storage location management, and optimal space utilization
• Facilitate internal transfers between locations or departments

Supplier & Vendor Coordination

• Liaise with procurement/vendor teams to ensure timely deliveries and manage lead times
• Follow up on delayed or missing shipments

Reporting & Analysis
