Job summary

Venus Remedies Limited is seeking a competent Executive Officer (Engineering Store) to manage day-to-day inventory and store operations for engineering spares, maintenance materials, and related consumables at Baddi Unit-II.

The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance Store within pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar industries, with strong knowledge of inventory management, documentation, and ERP/SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of relevant experience in Engineering Store / Maintenance Store / MRO Inventory.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant or other process/manufacturing industry preferred.
• Practical knowledge of engineering spare parts and maintenance-related inventory.
• Good understanding of material receipt, issuance, stock verification, reconciliation, and inventory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Engineering Store, including receipt, storage, identification, and issuance of engineering materials.
• Receive and verify engineering materials against approved purchase orders, indents, and supporting documents.
• Check quantity, item description, specifications, part numbers, and physical condition of incoming materials; report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of engineering spares, consumables, tools, and maintenance-related materials.
• Maintain stock registers, inventory records, material issue/receipt documentation, and reconciliation reports.
• Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage, and traceability of engineering materials.
• Follow FIFO principles and ensure appropriate storage practices for different material categories.
• Coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance, Purchase, QA, Production for timely receipt and issuance of materials.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in an Engineering Store / Maintenance Store within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment, along with good knowledge of inventory management, material handling, documentation, and stock control.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Engineering Store, including receipt, storage, identification, and issuance of engineering materials.
• Receive and verify engineering materials against approved purchase orders, indents, and supporting documents.
• Check quantity, item description, specifications, part numbers, and physical condition of incoming materials and report discrepancies to the concerned department.
• Maintain accurate records of engineering spares, consumables, tools, and maintenance-related materials.
• Maintain stock registers, inventory records, material issue/receipt documentation, and reconciliation reports.
• Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage, and traceability of engineering materials.
• Follow FIFO principles wherever applicable and ensure appropriate storage practices for different categories of materials.
• Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance, Purchase, QA, Production, and other concerned departments for timely receipt and issuance of materials.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and coordinate for timely replenishment of critical engineering spares and consumables.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation of engineering inventory.
• Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with company SOPs and applicable GMP requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring availability and accuracy of inventory records.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, organization, and systematic arrangement of the Engineering Store.

Materials / Items Handled

The candidate should preferably have experience handling some of the following:

• Mechanical spares
• Electrical spares
• Machine parts
• Bearings
• Valves
• Pumps and pump components
• Fittings and pipes
• Lubricants and maintenance consumables
• Tools and hardware
• PPE and engineering consumables
• Fasteners
• Belts, seals, gaskets, and related maintenance items
• Other MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) materials

Candidate Profile

• 1-5 years of relevant experience in Engineering Store / Maintenance Store / MRO Inventory.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant or other process/manufacturing industry will be preferred.
• Should have practical knowledge of engineering spare parts and maintenance-related inventory.
• Good understanding of material receipt, issuance, stock verification, reconciliation, and inventory documentation.
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel will be an added advantage.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Should be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate inventory records.
