Job summary

Pursuit Industries Pvt. Ltd. in Surat is expanding its International Business Development team to drive pharma API exports across 86+ countries.

The role requires 3–5 years in international sales within pharma/API, strong regulatory know-how, and willingness to travel globally. You will collaborate with Regulatory, QA, Production, Supply Chain and Logistics to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in international pharma/API markets.
• Knowledge of GMP, DMF, CEP and regulatory documentation.
• Familiar with Incoterms, export documentation and LC.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand international API business with new customers.
• Identify overseas distributors, traders and pharma manufacturers.
• Maintain relationships with existing international accounts and forecast sales.
• Prepare quotes, negotiate contracts and payment terms.
• Coordinate with Regulatory, QA, Production, Supply Chain and Logistics.
• Handle RFQs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor global API market trends and opportunities.

Job Title: International Sales Executive / Manager – Pharma API

Department: International Business Development

Location: Surat

Experience: 3–5 Years (API/Pharmaceutical Industry Preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand international business for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
• Identify and acquire new overseas customers, distributors, traders, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
• Manage existing international customer accounts and strengthen long-term business relationships.
• Generate export inquiries and convert them into confirmed business.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and supply agreements.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Production, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams for timely order execution.
• Handle RFQs, customer inquiries, product registrations, and technical documentation requirements.
• Ensure compliance with international regulatory standards and customer requirements.
• Monitor global API market trends, pricing, competitors, and business opportunities.
• Participate in international pharmaceutical exhibitions, trade fairs, and business meetings.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and sales reports.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collections.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual international sales targets.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of International Sales
• Understanding of the Pharmaceutical API industry and global markets.
• Knowledge of API products, regulatory documentation, GMP, DMF, CEP, and related compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Incoterms, Export Documentation, Letter of Credit (LC), and international payment methods.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer relationship management and business development abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/CRM software.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• MBA in International Business, Marketing, or Pharmaceutical Management is preferred.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in International Sales
• Prior experience in Pharma API, Bulk Drugs, Intermediates, or Pharmaceutical trading is preferred.
• Proven track record of developing international markets and achieving export sales targets.
