Responsibilities

• Stock & Warehouse Operations: assist inward and outward stock activities and ensure proper storage.
• Order & Dispatch Support: assist in order processing, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
• System & Documentation: update stock and dispatch transactions in ERP/system applications and maintain records.
• Stock Reconciliation: assist physical stock verification and report mismatches between physical and system stock.
• Coordination: liaise with depot staff, sales teams, transporters, and internal departments for smooth operations.
• Process Improvement: observe depot processes and support SOP implementation and housekeeping.

he Depot Operations Intern will support day-to-day depot activities including stock handling, inward and outward operations, order processing, documentation, system updates, and coordination with internal teams and transport partners. The role is suitable for a candidate who is willing to learn warehouse and supply chain operations and can work with accuracy and discipline in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stock & Warehouse Operations

• Assist in inward and outward stock activities at the depot.
• Support physical stock counting, verification, and proper storage of products.
• Ensure products are arranged and handled as per defined depot processes.
• Assist in identifying stock discrepancies, damages, and shortages.

2. Order & Dispatch Support

• Support daily order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
• Coordinate with the depot team to ensure timely dispatch of orders.
• Assist in checking article, quantity, barcode, and carton details before dispatch.
• Support loading and unloading activities as required.

3. System & Documentation

• Update stock and dispatch transactions in ERP/system applications.
• Maintain proper records of inward, outward, transfer, and return transactions.
• Assist in preparing daily stock and dispatch reports.
• Ensure documents such as invoices, delivery challans, and transfer documents are properly maintained.

4. Stock Reconciliation

• Assist in physical stock verification and system stock reconciliation.
• Identify and report mismatches between physical and system stock.
• Support the team in investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.

5. Coordination

• Coordinate with depot staff, sales teams, transporters, and internal departments for smooth operations.
• Follow up on pending dispatches, returns, and stock movements.
• Escalate operational issues to the supervisor for timely resolution.

6. Process Improvement

• Observe depot processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
• Support implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in maintaining workplace organization, safety, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Diploma / Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Freshers and students with internship experience can apply.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and computer applications.
• Willingness to work in a depot/warehouse environment.
