Job summary

SmartQ is seeking a Retail Operations Intern to help manage operational data, prepare MIS reports, and track purchase orders while coordinating with internal teams and vendors. You will support daily retail activities and contribute to process improvements.

The role requires a recent bachelor’s degree and proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets, with strong communication and detail orientation in a fast-paced environment.

As a Retail Operations Intern at SmartQ, you will support day-to-day retail operations by managing and maintaining data, preparing MIS reports, tracking POs and coordinating follow-ups with internal stakeholders and vendors. You will also assist with the smooth execution of daily retail activities and support the team in resolving operational challenges.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Manage, update, and maintain operational data and records.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports and dashboards for regular tracking and review.
• Track Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors for timely processing and closure.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to support day-to-day retail operations.
• Monitor operational activities and follow up on pending tasks to ensure timely execution.
• Support the operations team with documentation, reporting, and other operational requirements.
• Identify operational gaps and assist in implementing solutions and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Recently completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations, Commerce, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets; knowledge of basic data analysis is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage follow-ups effectively.
• Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
