Job summary

MODERNITE SOLUTIONS LLP is seeking a skilled interior designer to translate client briefs into spatial concepts and practical layouts for interiors in Mumbai. You will work on client consultations, mood boards, CAD layouts, material specs, and procurement oversight from concept to completion.

You will coordinate with contractors, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and perform site inspections to guarantee quality and timely delivery for diverse residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand style, needs, lifestyle and budget.
• Develop design concepts with mood boards, color palettes and layouts (CAD sketches).
• Optimize space layouts for flow, ergonomics, lighting and safety.
• Source and specify materials, furniture, flooring, fixtures and lighting within budget.
• Coordinate with contractors, electricians, plumbers and vendors to keep on schedule.
• Prepare cost estimates and track expenses for transparency.
• Ensure designs comply with local codes, ADA standards and zoning laws.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality.

Role & Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their style preferences, functional needs, lifestyle, and budget.

Concept & Design Development: Create design plans, mood boards, color palettes, and spatial layouts (using sketches or CAD software).

Space Planning: Optimize room layouts for traffic flow, ergonomics, lighting, and safety regulations.

Sourcing & Procurement: Select and specify materials, furniture, flooring, fixtures, lighting, and window treatments within budget constraints.

Project Management: Coordinate with contractors, electricians, plumbers, and vendors to ensure the design is executed correctly and on schedule.

Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates, manage expenses, and provide transparent financial tracking for clients.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, accessibility standards (like ADA), and zoning laws.

Site Inspections: Regularly visit site to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality control.
