Job summary

Featherlite Bengaluru invites an experienced interior designer to lead end-to-end interior design projects from concept to execution. You will develop concepts that meet client requirements, budgets, and timelines, and prepare detailed drawings for approvals.

Collaborating with architects, contractors, vendors, and internal teams, you will translate design intent into construction, create mood boards, 3D visualizations, and material selections, and ensure on-site realization.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end interior design projects from concept development through design execution and project completion, with support from junior designers and teammembers.
• Develop creative and functional design concepts that align with client requirements, project objectives, budget, timelines, and aesthetic expectations.
• Conduct space planning and layout development for high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
• Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, working drawings, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, and construction documentation.
• Develop design presentations, mood boards, material boards, 3D visualizations, and concept presentations for client approvals.
• Select and specify FF&E, furniture, lighting, materials, finishes, color palettes, and accessories in accordance with the design concept and project requirements.
• Demonstrate strong material knowledge and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and products based on aesthetics, functionality, durability, budget, and sustainability.
• Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into execution.
• Coordinate custom furniture design and detailing, ensuring that furniture specifications meet functional, aesthetic, and technical requirements.
• Attend client meetings, site meetings, and project reviews to understand requirements, present design proposals, monitor progress, and address design-related concerns.
• Conduct regular site visits and coordinate with execution teams to ensure drawings, specifications, materials, and finishes are implemented as per approved designs.
• Identify and resolve design, technical, material, and execution-related issues during the project lifecycle.
• Review project progress against approved designs, quality standards, timelines, and specifications, and provide necessary design clarifications to the execution team.
• Maintain strong awareness of current interior design trends, building standards, industry practices, and sustainable design principles.
• Balance creativity with practicality by developing designs that meet functional, aesthetic, budgetary, quality, and timeline requirements.
