Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Mumbai seeks an experienced Instrumentation and Control engineer for offshore projects. You will work on field instrumentation, control and safeguarding systems, and contribute to flow metering, HIPPS and F&G devices, with exposure to telecom systems.

Responsibilities include preparing P&IDs, system configurations, technical specs, instrument schedules, IO lists, and coordinating with vendors during MR, FAT and SAT activities.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems for offshore projects (domestic or international)
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, control & safeguarding systems for offshore projects
• Experience with flow metering, HIPPS, F&G devices and telecom systems (added advantage)
• Preparation of process and instrumentation diagrams, system configuration and technical specifications
• Equipment layout checking, mark‑ups, subcontractor coordination, and development of operation and control philosophy ensuring safety interlocks and drive control permissive
• Preparation of instrument schedules, IO lists, databases, alarm and annunciation lists
• Hands‑on experience in procurement engineering cycle including MR, TBE, TQs, vendor document reviews, FAT and SAT
