Job summary

Hatsun Agro Product in Salem, Tamil Nadu, seeks an instrumentation engineer with 2–4 years of experience to maintain and calibrate plant instruments, ensure proper operation, monitor CCPs/OPRP equipment, and support validation and commissioning activities.

The role involves updating P&IDs, reviewing drawings, performing preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting PLC/SCADA systems (Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Siemens, Delta).

Qualifications

• BE in instrumentation or ECE with 2–4 years of experience in plant instrumentation.
• Experience calibrating instruments per ISO-17025 standards.
• Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and field instrumentation.
• Familiarity with P&ID and control narratives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure instruments operate properly in the plant with no deviation.
• Calibrate all instruments as per ISO-17025 standards.
• Continuously monitor CCPs and OPRP equipment.
• Prepare and follow preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.

Job description

• Ensure the equipments / instruments are working properly without deviation in the plant
• All the instruments are to be calibrated as per the ISO standards (ISO-17025 )
• Continuous monitoring of all the CCPs and OPRP equipments / instruments.
• Focus on continuous operation and maintenance activity in the plant.
• Prepare PM schedule and follow the PM activity as per the schedule.
• Performing validations(installation and operation qualification) for the equipment
• Technical evaluation of client requirement, Interlock write up as per the requirement and reviewing the interlock write up.
• reviewing the P & ID diagrams and control narratives
• Installation and commissioning of field instruments like Temperature , pressure, conductivity, pH, flow , level sensors and performing their calibration
• Performing FAT & SAT for the equipments and control panels
• Making changes in HMI and PLC program
• Trouble shooting control panels
• Reviewing the General assembly drawings
• Reviewing the isometric drawings
• Preparing & reviewing the instrument data sheets
• Maintenance of PLC control panels, Motor operated valves, pneumatic operated Gates and solenoid operated valves
• Performing preventive maintenance for field instruments like pressure, temperature, flow etc
• Basic Trouble shoot of PLC and SCADA systems (Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Siemens, and delta make)
• Field verification of instrumentation connected to PLC and SCADA systems based on the requirements.
• Limit setting for actuators of valves (samson, Rotex, dembla, and alfa-laval make)
• Maintenance of level and flow sensors etc
• Reviewing the basic Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams(P&IDs)
• Installation/ testing /Commissioning and trouble shooting of PLC control panels
