Job summary

Isgec Heavy Engineering seeks an experienced I&C engineer to lead module/skid instrumentation design within EPC projects. You will oversee basic and detailed design, review vendor offers, and ensure integration across P&ID, wiring, and cable schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in Module/skid engineering in EPC projects.
• Knowledge of BIS, EN, ASME, ISA & API I&C codes and standards.
• Experience in managing I&C subcontractors and 3D model reviews.

Responsibilities

• Review ITB and identify instrumentation scope.
• Prepare Instrument index and datasheet; review vendor offers.
• Provide hookup drawings, cable tray layout and MTO for instruments.
• Deliver instrument costing to the estimation team.
• Lead I&C basic and detail design for skid/module packages.
• Review P&ID diagrams and I&C IO lists; ensure technical clearance.
• Produce hookup drawings, wiring diagrams and cable schedules.
• Manage I&C quantities within budget during execution.
• Oversee I&C subcontractors and 3D modeling of trays and equipment.
• Coordinate with structural/piping/electrical to check routings.
• Ensure quality control and generate as-built documentation.
• Attend customer/consultant queries; close shop feedbacks.

Main Responsibilities :

Proposal Phase:

• Review ITB (Invitation to Bid and Identify instrumentation scope
• Preparation of Instrument index, Instrument datasheet (if not available), Vendor offer review with comparison sheet
• Hookup drawing, Cable tray layout, Instrument Bulk MTO
• Provide Instrument Costing to Estimation

Project Execution Phase:

• Responsible for
• Complete Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Basic and Detail Design for Skid & Module of Various packages.
• I&C Design Deliverables are prepared in accordance with Engineering and Design Work plan/Schedule.
• P&I Diagrams review related to I&C Parts, Instrument Index/ IO List, Technical Specifications, Reviewing Vendor offers, Technical clearance, Reviewing and Approving vendor documents
• Hookup Drawing, Wiring Diagram, Cable Schedule
• Controlling I&C quantities within budget during executions stage.
• Responsible for Supervising and managing I&C engineering work of subcontractors.
• I&C 3-D modelling Cable Tray and Supports, I&C Equipment 3-D Models
• Checking Cable Tray Routings and Supports in co-operation with Structural Engineer, Piping Engineer, Electrical engineer.
• Ensure quality control of all engineering and design work related to I&C engineering.
• As built documentation.
• Attending Customer / Consultant queries regarding I&C engineering
• Disposal of shop feedbacks, site feedbacks.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in Module/skid engineering in EPC projects
• Knowledge about Indian Standards (BIS), EN codes, ASME, ISA & API codes and standards related to I&C
• Experience in managing engineering subcontractors for I&C.
• Experience in 3D model reviews.
