Tecnicas Reunidas in Chennai invites an senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer with 15–20 years in power plants (CCPP). The role focuses on developing engineering documents during FEED/EPC and ensuring compliance with international codes.

Candidates should be proficient in KKS tagging, valve selection, instruments data sheets, and SPI-INTools, with site and commissioning exposure. Strong teamwork and thorough documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of instrumentation and control engineering experience in the power plant sector (CCPP).
• Experience in FEED/EPC engineering documentation and related activities.
• Familiar with international codes & standards (ISA, IEC, ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, ISO).

Responsibilities

• Familiar with KKS tagging/numbering system philosophy.
• Prepare instrument data sheets and valve specifications.
• Calculate and select control valves, safety devices, and flow elements.
• Select flow instruments and develop instrument index & I/O lists.
• Manage instrument database (SPI-INTools) and related documentation.
• Create Cause & Effect diagrams, control narratives, and safety descriptions.
• Develop logic diagrams and instrument level sketches.
• Coordinate inquiries/purchases for instruments and materials.
• Review vendor documents and engineering packages.
• Support FAT/IFAT/SAT activities and AS BUILT updates.

ROLE SUMMARY

Professionals with Bachelors/Masters/Diploma in Engineering and a minimum of 15 to 20 years of relevant instrumentation and control engineering experience in the POWER PLANT (Mainly CCPP - COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT) industry sector and having good knowledge and expertise in development of engineering documents during FEED/ EPC and the associated activities. Shall be organized, motivated and team worker.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• FAMILIAR WITH KKS TAGGING / NUMBERING SYSTEM PHILOSOPHY
• Instruments Specification Sheets (Data Sheets) All types of Instruments and Automated Valves.
• Calculation & Selection of Control Valves, Safety Devices and Flow Elements.
• Selection of Flow Instruments
• Instruments Index and I/O lists.
• Instruments Database Setup, Development and Handling (SPI-INTools).
• Cause & Effect Diagrams. Control Narrative and Safety Descriptions.
• Logic Diagrams.
• Instruments Level Sketches.
• Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase of Instruments and Materials.
• Technical Bid Evaluation of Offers for Instruments and Materials & TBT preparation.
• Vendor Documents Review of Instruments and Materials.
• Review and Implementation of HAZOP actions & preparation of SRS (Safety Requirement Specification) document.
• Review recommendations per SIL Study and update of SIL Allocation & SIL Verification Reports.
• Fair knowledge of International Codes & Standards like ISA, IEC, ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, ISO.
• Familiar with Analyzers (an added advantage).
• Exposure / experience in FAT/ IFAT / SAT.
• Vendor Package Engineering.

TECHNICAL SKILL

• SPI-INTools (Index / Calculation / Specification / Process Data/ Modules, Document Binder, Browser and EDE).
• AUTOCAD (not mandatory; an added advantage if familiar).
• MICROSTATION (not mandatory; an added advantage if familiar).NAVISWORKS.MicroSoft Office.
• Site Experience Site Support (Engineering), STQs, Startup, Pre-Commissioning / Commissioning.
• Familiarity with FAT / IFAT/ SAT assistance in AS BUILT works.
