Job summary

Zeppelin Systems GmbH in Vadodara, India seeks an instrumentation and automation engineer to prepare and review EPC project deliverables, including P&IDs, I/O lists, and control system documentation. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support procurement, and assist in FAT/SAT testing and on-site commissioning.

The role requires strong English communication, proactive teamwork, and the ability to visit vendor sites as needed to ensure proper integration of control systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review basic and detailed instrumentation and automation engineering deliverables for EPC projects.
• Develop and review P&IDs, design basis documents, project specifications, material requisitions, and instrument engineering documentation.
• Prepare and review instrument index, I/O lists, set-point lists, datasheets, inquiry specifications, PLC specifications, control philosophies, and system architecture documents.
• Develop and review functional descriptions, interlock descriptions, Cause & Effect diagrams, logic diagrams, logic flowcharts, and interface diagrams.
• Prepare and review cable schedules, junction box schedules, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, hook-up diagrams, control room layouts, and 2D/3D cable tray layouts.
• Develop and review instrument location layouts, instrument air consumption lists, load lists, FAT and SAT documentation, and other engineering deliverables.
• Support the selection and specification of instruments, control valves, analyzers, PLC/SCADA systems, electrical switchgear, and system networking components.
• Provide technical support for instrumentation procurement, vendor document reviews, and technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure proper integration of instrumentation and automation systems.
• Conduct or support inspections and testing at vendor facilities, including FAT and SAT activities.
• Support site activities, including loop checking, commissioning, and testing of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and MCC systems, including associated motors and instruments.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and clients for technical clarifications, documentation, and expediting activities.
• Undertake vendor and site visits as required to support project execution.
• Maintain effective coordination and communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
