Job summary

AVI Worldwide Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance professional to conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections of materials and finished products. You will ensure conformance to customer specifications and quality standards using precision measuring tools.

You will perform root cause analysis, implement CAPA/8D reports, handle NCRs, and maintain QMS documentation while participating in quality audits under IATF 16949/ISO 9001 guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection per customer specs and drawings.
• Hands-on quality inspection and process control.
• Knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Experience with NCRs, CAPA and customer complaints handling.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection of raw materials, components and finished products.


• Monitor product quality as per customer specifications, drawings, standards and defined quality parameters.


• Perform dimensional and visual inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Go/No-Go Gauges and other measuring instruments.


• Ensure proper calibration and verification of measuring and testing instruments.


• Monitor and control process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.


• Identify, record and analyze quality defects, rejection and process deviations.


• Coordinate with Production and other departments for resolution of quality issues and implementation of corrective actions.


• Conduct Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone and other problem-solving techniques.


• Prepare and implement CAPA / 8D reports for internal and customer-related quality issues.


• Handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.


• Support customer complaint analysis and resolution with proper documentation and corrective actions.


• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, rejection reports and other QMS documentation.


• Participate in Process, Product and Internal Quality Audits and support audit compliance.


• Follow and maintain requirements related to IATF 16949 / ISO 9001.


• Support implementation and maintenance of Automotive Core Tools APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA.


• Monitor First Piece Approval, Patrol Inspection and Final Inspection activities.


• Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, control plans and inspection standards.


• Analyze quality data and prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports.


• Work closely with Production, Maintenance and other departments to achieve quality and rejection targets.


• Ensure adherence to 5S, safety and company quality procedures.


• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate with 15 years of experience in Quality/Quality Assurance, preferably in the Automobile / Auto Components / Manufacturing Industry.


• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Rubber Technology or a related engineering field.


• Good knowledge of Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection.


• Hands-on experience in Quality Inspection, Process Control and Product Quality.


• Knowledge of Automotive Core Tools – APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA.


• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 8D, 5 Why and Root Cause Analysis.


• Experience in handling Non-Conformities, CAPA and customer complaints.


• Ability to identify and analyze quality defects and process-related issues and coordinate with Production for corrective actions.


• Knowledge of drawing reading, dimensional inspection and measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and Gauges.


• Exposure to Quality Audits, Process Audits and Product Audits.


• Good knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation/report preparation.


• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Candidates with experience in rubber products, moulding, automotive components or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.


• Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 will be an added advantage
