Job summary

Tekman India is seeking a Quality Inspector to conduct in-process inspections of fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies per drawings and SOPs. You will apply QC tools, perform root-cause analyses, and maintain detailed records to support ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes and inspection of machined/fabricated components.
• Familiarity with quality tools and problem-solving methods to drive root-cause analysis.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain audit-ready records.
• Experience with QMS requirements and supplier evaluation activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process inspection of fabricated parts per drawings and SOPs.
• Inspect sub-assemblies and final assemblies per GAD and P&ID.
• Apply 7 QC tools, Why-Why analysis and 8D for problem solving.
• Carry out final inspection and testing per customer requirements.
• Prepare and implement control plans; ensure adherence.
• Maintain documentation and records of inspections and tests.
• Assist vendor assessment and development with procurement.
• Support 5S, KAIZEN, and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor surface prep, painting, powder coating quality, and record DFT data.
• Conduct supplier inspections to verify capability and compliance.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct in-process inspection of fabricated parts as per drawing and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  
• Perform inspection of sub-assemblies and final assemblies as per General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) and P&ID.
  
• Apply quality tools such as 7 QC tools, Why-Why analysis, and 8D for effective problem-solving.
  
• Carry out final inspection and testing of systems in accordance with customer requirements.
  
• Prepare and implement control plans and ensure adherence throughout the process.
  
• Maintain proper documentation and records of inspections and tests conducted.
  
• Assist in vendor assessment and vendor development in coordination with the purchase department.
  
• Participate in and support implementation of 5S, KAIZEN, and other continuous improvement activities.
  
• Monitor and verify surface preparation, blasting, painting, and powder coating quality, and maintain DFT check records.
  
• Conduct supplier inspections to verify capability and compliance with requirements.
  
• Coordinate with Production and Design teams to resolve quality concerns during manufacturing and contribute to continual improvement.
  
• Possess working knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO 9001:2015 and be capable of facing audits. (Internal auditor certification will be an added advantage.
