Job summary

ANSA Decoglass Pvt Ltd (PGP Groups) seeks an ink chemist to prepare ceramic, organic and UV inks for glass decoration. You will match customer shades using Pantone and spectrophotometer, and conduct laboratory trials to ensure ink quality and printability.

Responsibilities include evaluating viscosity, adhesion and printability, supporting first-off production trials, and maintaining accurate formulation records and lab documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in formulating inks for glass decoration.
• Knowledge of Pantone shade matching and color standards.
• Familiarity with spectrophotometer-based color measurement.
• Ability to conduct lab trials and evaluate ink properties.

Job description

• Prepare and develop ceramic, organic and UV inks for glass decoration applications.
• Match customer shades using Pantone, colour standards and spectrophotometer.
• Conduct laboratory trials for new products and process improvements.
• Evaluate ink properties such as viscosity, fineness, opacity, adhesion and printability.
• Support production during first-off trials and resolve ink-related issues.
• Develop and standardize ink formulations for consistent quality.
• Maintain formulation records, batch details and laboratory documentation.
• Coordinate with NPD, Production and QA for sample development and commercial approvals.
• Investigate colour variation and printing defects using root cause analysis.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and inventory control of inks, pigments and chemicals.
• Follow safety guidelines, MSDS requirements, ISO procedures and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
