Job summary

DIC India is seeking a dedicated R&D professional to lead development of flexographic ink formulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The role emphasizes quality, material evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative inks.

You will handle raw materials evaluation, prototype verification, and customer-facing sample preparation, while maintaining ISO documentation and driving continuous improvement in lab practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in R&D for ink formulations and product development.
• Familiar with ISO documentation and quality systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D activities for flexographic ink products to ensure innovation and quality.
• Evaluate new raw materials (pigments, resins, additives) and scale formulations.
• Verify products at pilot and bulk scales; prepare customer samples.
• Conduct SWOT analysis of competitors inks and analyze properties.
• Develop raw materials in-house (e.g., resins) and support CTM.
• Validate with customers and handle technical service for complaints.
• Modify products per customer requirements and maintain ISO documentation.
• Calibrate instruments and coordinate QC for new materials.
• Interact with QC on new raw material introduction.
• Support day-to-day development activities with CTM.

Role & responsibilities

To lead research and development activities for Flexographic ink products, ensuring innovation, quality, and compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluating new raw materials like Pigment, Resin, Additive etc and introduction of the same in the formulation.
• Product verification at pilot scale and bulk scale
• Preparing various samples for the customers
• Conducting SWOT analysis of competitors ink and analyzing their properties
• In house development of raw materials e.g. resins etc
• Customer validation: Conducting trails and other trouble shooting and handling specific customer complaints along with the Technical service team
• Product Modification to make it suitable as per requirements from customer end
• In charge of ISO (9001, 14000 & OHSAS) documentation
• Handling of all instruments and its regular calibration
• Interaction with QC for new raw material introduction
• Helping the CTM in day to day developmental activities
