Job summary

Siegwerk is seeking a development-focused professional in inks technology to drive margin improvements and support substitution projects from lab to pilot and production scales.

The role involves hands-on lab work, process optimization, and collaboration with SCM, AT, Production, and QC teams to meet timelines and budgets. Proficiency in SAP/R&D tasks is beneficial.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in defined ink technology R&D/application service.
• MSc Chemistry or BTech in Chemical/Polymer/Printing Technology.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in lab and adapt priorities as required.

Responsibilities

• Constant margin improvement through supporting raw materials substitution projects of technology development and margin improvement initiatives.
• Support in the lab analysis for the development and improvement of the intermediate and their further industrialization and pilot and production level.
• Work continuously in the development projects as per customer needs and support in the scale up trials and conclude towards implementation.
• Work in the projects within defined technology solutions, applications and services according to agreed timelines, budgets and standards monitored by senior colleague.
• Cooperate with Cross functional teams like SCM /AT /Production/QC to continually improve product formulation and process performance.
• Analyze customer and internal complaints to provide corrective and preventive actions within time frame and determine root cause.
• Create product codes and modify formulations and QIPs with SAP/RD support.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping in the lab area and the plant

• Where applicable work in close co-operation with Cross functional team like SCM /AT /Production/QC to continually improve performance at product formulation and process level.
• Analysis of customer & internal complaints to provide the appropriate corrective & preventive action within time frame and also analyse route cause of complaint.
• Creation of products code and modification of formulations and QIPs with the help of SAP/RD.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping in the lab area and the plant

Preferred candidate profile

• Good communication, presentable & interpersonal skills. Good team player.
• Min. 4-6 years of comprehensive experience in defined ink .technology environment (R&D, application service etc.)
• Qualification _ MSc (Chemistry)/ BTech ( Chemical/Polymer/Printing technology)
• Ability to work in lab, good analytical skills, flexible to change priorities as per requirement.
