Job summary

Arrow Greentech Ltd. is seeking a chemistry-focused professional to develop security inks and functional coatings.

You will guide formulation for gravure and other printing methods, validate with rigorous testing, and scale successful lab recipes to manufacturing while ensuring batch consistency. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in formulation chemistry, strong knowledge of UV-curable, water-based and solvent-based chemistries, and experience with analytical instrumentation and IP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science or related field.
• 5–7 years in formulation chemistry, with at least 2 years in security printing, functional coatings or specialty inks.
• Deep understanding of pigments, dyes, resins, solvents, photo initiators, and taggant technologies (luminescent, magnetic).
• Proficiency with lab synthesis tools, analytical instruments (FTIR, UV-Vis, HPLC, microscopy) and printability testers to ensure colour matching and quality control.
• Strong knowledge of UV-curable, water-based, and solvent-based chemistries.
• Experience with IP, patent landscapes, and documenting technical reports.
• Sharp analytical problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Formulate security inks and functional coatings under R&D guidance (gravure, flexo, etc).
• Conduct chemical, physical, and optical testing to meet durability, adhesion, lightfastness, and chemical-resistance standards.
• Scale lab formulations to manufacturing; troubleshoot production and optimize parameters; ensure batch-to-batch consistency.
• Establish raw material specs and QC protocols to guarantee consistent batches.

Job description

Role & responsibilities :

• Product Development: Under the guidance of Manager R&D you will formulate security inks and functional coatings, for various printing methods like Gravure, Flexo etc.
• Testing & Analysis: Conduct rigorous chemical, physical, and optical testing to ensure inks meet strict durability, adhesion, lightfastness, and chemical-resistance standards.
• Scale-Up & Production: Transfer lab-scale formulations to manufacturing, troubleshooting production anomalies and optimizing processing parameters. Also, to ensure each batch of Ink is made to yield same results.
• Quality Assurance: Establish raw material specifications and quality control protocols to guarantee batch-to-batch consistency.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors, Master’s in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a closely related field.
• 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience in formulation chemistry, with at least 2 years specifically within security printing, functional coatings, or specialty ink industries.
• Deep understanding of pigments, dyes, resins, solvents, photo initiators, and taggant technologies (e.g., luminescent, magnetic)
• Proficiency with lab synthesis tools, analytical instruments (FTIR, UV-Vis, HPLC, microscopy), and printability testers (e.g., Prufbau) to ensure colour matching, waste reduction and quality controls.
• Strong knowledge of UV-curable, water-based, and solvent-based chemistry.
