Job summary

Indosol Solar Pvt Ltd in Andhra Pradesh is seeking a DET Supervisor Maintenance (Mechanical/Electrical) with 2-6 years in industrial equipment maintenance, including 2-3 years in supervision. You will lead a maintenance team across shifts, plan PM schedules, manage spares, and drive RCA, TPM, and safety compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, vendor coordination, and hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years in industrial equipment maintenance, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / ECE / Mechatronics with relevant experience, or BE/BTech preferred.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts as required by the plant.

Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance team across shifts and ensure proper manpower planning.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all machines with 100% PM compliance.
• Lead major breakdown troubleshooting to minimize downtime and restore equipment quickly.
• Perform RCA for critical failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Plan spares inventory, identify critical spares, and raise purchase requests on time.
• Prepare BOMs, PM checklists and SOPs for all equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs and service engineers for support and warranty issues.
• Monitor KPIs such as downtime, MTTR, MTBF, PM compliance and spares consumption.
• Support installation, commissioning, modification and improvement projects.
• Manage maintenance budget and control costs.

Job Title: DET Supervisor Maintenance (Mechanical/Electrical)

Department: Equipment Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the maintenance team (line leaders, technicians and trainees) across shifts and ensure proper manpower planning.
• Plan and implement the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule for all machines and ensure 100% PM compliance.
• Lead major breakdown troubleshooting, and ensure minimum downtime and quick restoration of equipment.
• Carry out root cause analysis (RCA) for repeated or critical failures and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
• Plan and control spares inventory, identify critical spares, and raise purchase requests on time.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, PM checklists and maintenance procedures (SOPs) for all equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs and service engineers for technical support, spares and warranty issues.
• Monitor and report maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTTR, MTBF, PM compliance and spares consumption.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, modification and improvement projects.
• Manage maintenance budget and control maintenance costs.
• Review shift handover reports, maintenance records and breakdown logs.
• Train and develop the team, and evaluate their performance.
• Coordinate with production, quality and EHS teams to align maintenance with production needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, PPE, LOTO, 5S and audit requirements.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts or as required by the plant.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation systems (PLC, servo drives, sensors).
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Good knowledge of preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance practices (TPM, RCA, 5-Why).
• Strong leadership, planning and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and vendor coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and maintenance software (CMMS preferred).
