This is a full-time, on-site role for an Information Technology Support Engineer located in Dundigal Gandimaisamma. The responsibilities include providing technical support to ensure efficient operation of IT systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing and maintaining system administration tasks, and assisting users via help desk support. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving technical problems to maintain continuous operational functionality.
Qualifications & Job roles and responsibilities
- Proficiency in Technical Support and Information Technology processes
- Strong Troubleshooting skills for resolving hardware and software issues
- Experience in System Administration, including installing, maintaining, and updating systems
- Capability to manage Help Desk Support, ensuring timely user assistance and resolution
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are a plus
IT Network, Systems & Support Responsibilities
- Install and configure local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and network segments and servers, such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
- Manage user accounts, credentials, permissions, access rights, storage allocations, and active directory administration.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software-based network issues
- Ensuring that the networks they manage have a primary backup
- Researching industry-standard upgrades and solutions for improving network performance
- Reviewing system failures and preparing post-mortem reports
- Helping end users and departments that have localised network problems.
- Managing project network implementations or upgrades.
- Installing new hardware and software
- Creating network credentials, permissions and passwords and onboarding new staff
- Responding to queries and requests from staff on the IT helpdesk.
- Shared permission access in storage device.
- Working on mail server.
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Email clients like Outlook.
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting of local and network printers.
- Recovering the user data in case of operating system failure and hard disk failure.
- Firmware updates in firewall.
- Configuring and managing DHCP and DNS.
