Job summary

Roquette in Pantnagar, India, is seeking a Buyer to drive cost-efficient sourcing within the Procurement team, with emphasis on energy/fuel management and sustainable purchasing practices. A B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Materials Management are preferred, with 7–10+ years in

To meet our challenges, we are looking for a Buyer within the Procurement team! This position will be located in Pantnagar. Their mission? This position is responsible for effective and cost oriented sourcing operations for the plant adhering to the SOP's with a focus on sustainable and environment friendly outlook.

Key accountabilities:

• Dealing with User departments for understanding the Purchase requirements
• Receive and monitor purchase requisitions.
• Identifying suppliers, floating enquiries/RFPs, preparing TBA & CBA of offers received from vendors, negotiation and creating orders/Rate-contracts.
• Releasing purchase orders as required.
• Managing the relationship with the vendors on the ongoing basis to ensure adherence to the supply and performance
• Supporting users and account department for payment process.
• Developing the vendor for ARC for consolidating various consumable requirements
• Understanding the requirement and managing alternative suppliers which is cost effective
• Preparing MIS Reports as per requirement of management within the given deadline
• Maintaining of records and documents concerned for Audit and compliance
• Budget/Saving Related Reports
• Ensuring Material Availability at plant within defined & desired realistic timeline related to Projects & Import.
• Provides guidance and assistance to the team in all aspects of purchasing.
• Ensures that all purchasing is in compliance with regulations and laws related to Purchasing practices and in accordance with Roquette standard practices.
• Coordinates and resolves problems with end user departments and suppliers
• Resolving issues and correspondence with vendor / contractors for material delivery
• Managing logistics activities and co-ordination with store and account department for payment process.
• Defining and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory at plant based on production plan.
