Job summary

Premier Fine Linens in India is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering leader to drive productivity and efficiency across manufacturing operations. You will conduct time and motion studies, establish SOPs/SMVs, and develop manpower planning, line balancing, and capacity planning to maximize production efficiency.

Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, and continuous improvement initiatives while monitoring KPIs like OEE and cost per unit.

Qualifications

• Train IE engineers and production teams on productivity practices.

• Mentor IE engineers and production teams on best practices.
• Ensure safety, quality, and company standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the Industrial Engineering (IE) function to drive productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization across manufacturing operations.
• Conduct time and motion studies, work measurement, and method improvement to establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standard minute values (SMVs).
• Develop manpower planning, line balancing, and capacity planning to maximize production efficiency.
• Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
• Establish productivity benchmarks and monitor KPIs such as labor productivity, machine utilization, efficiency, OEE, line efficiency, and cost per unit.
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Merchandising teams to improve operational performance and ensure on-time delivery.
• Conduct layout planning and workflow optimization to improve material flow and reduce handling time.
• Lead cost reduction projects through process optimization, waste elimination, and improved resource utilization.
• Develop and monitor manpower budgets, productivity targets, and capacity utilization plans.
• Support new product introductions by defining process flow, estimating production capacity, and determining resource requirements.
• Implement digital tools, dashboards, and data analytics to monitor operational performance and support data-driven decision-making.
• Train and mentor IE engineers, supervisors, and production teams on productivity improvement methodologies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards while driving operational excellence.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1015 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within the Home Textile, Garment, or Textile Manufacturing industry.
• Strong expertise in Time & Motion Study, Work Measurement, SMV, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Layout Planning, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, OEE, and Productivity Improvement.
• Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in export-oriented textile manufacturing will be an added advantage.
