Job description

Experience: 3–8 Years

We are looking for a highly motivated Industrial Engineer to drive manufacturing efficiency, automation, and process optimization across aerospace production operations. This role will focus on improving productivity, reducing manual effort, enhancing machine utilization, optimizing shop-floor layouts, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual activities through automation and process improvements.
  • Analyze production processes and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce cycle times and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
  • Support continuous improvement programs focused on quality, cost, delivery, and productivity.
  • Monitor and improve machine utilization, capacity, and production flow.
  • Develop strategies to maximize equipment effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and identify areas for performance improvement.
  • Support capacity planning and resource optimization activities.
Shop-Floor Layout & Workflow Optimization
  • Optimize shop-floor layouts to improve workflow, material movement, and space utilization.
  • Evaluate production line configurations and recommend improvements.
  • Support workplace organization initiatives using Lean principles and 5S methodologies.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of manufacturing space and resources.
  • Conduct time studies, work measurement, and motion analysis.
  • Perform line balancing and manpower optimization activities.
  • Analyze production workflows and recommend process enhancements.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and productivity standards.
Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Implement productivity improvement projects and waste reduction programs.
  • Support value stream mapping and workflow optimization activities.
  • Track improvement initiatives and measure business impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
  • Support implementation of new manufacturing processes and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address production challenges and improve performance.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and workflow standards.
  • Monitor and report key production and efficiency KPIs.
  • Prepare analysis reports and recommendations for management review.
  • Ensure process changes are properly documented and standardized.

  • Good analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Aerospace, Defence, Precision Manufacturing, Automotive, or Engineering Industries.
  • Exposure to production automation initiatives and manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Experience with machine utilization analysis, layout optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing performance metrics such as OEE, productivity, and cycle-time analysis.
