Job summary

Canvendor Software solutions is seeking an Automation & Control Engineer to lead PLC/SCADA development and commissioning across automotive manufacturing lines. The role covers Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi systems, and modern HMI/SCADA platforms with OPC UA and MES integration experience.

You will troubleshoot complex automation systems, support FAT/SAT, and contribute to commissioning activities in a fast-paced plant environment. Prior auto industry exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation degree or diploma.
• Hands-on PLC/SCADA programming and commissioning experience.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
• Experience in FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.
• Exposure to battery/automotive process environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and commissioning automation systems for automotive BIW, Powertrain, and material handling lines.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, drives, and automation equipment; perform FAT/SAT activities.
• Implement MES integration and OPC UA configurations; support commissioning and start-up.

What youll do

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley RS Logix, Compact Logix, Control Logix, Mitsubishi GX Works,
• Hands-on experience in HMI Scada Programming. Experience on FactoryTalk Optix, Factory Talk overview
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, Profinet, Ether CAT, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA)
• Experience in MES integration and OPC UA configuration
• Strong troubleshooting skills in PLC, drives, and automation systems
• Experience in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities
• Bachelors/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering
• Having plc HMI, servo VFD Programming experience in the automobile industry, specifically in , BIW, Powertrain, Material Handling system , Battery Line, and conveyor systems.

Good to Have:

• Experience in Ignition advanced modules (Perspective, Reporting)
• Exposure to battery manufacturing / process industry
• Knowledge of robot programming or DCS systems
