About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and people-focused HR Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with business leaders, project managers, and employees across our software consulting organization.
The HRBP will act as a strategic HR partner, supporting workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, talent development, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring HR practices align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Partnering
- Partner with business heads, delivery leaders, project managers, and functional leaders on people-related matters.
- Understand business goals, project requirements, workforce challenges, and organizational priorities.
- Provide HR insights and recommendations to support business and people decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
2. Workforce Planning & Talent Management
- Work with business leaders to identify current and future workforce requirements.
- Support resource planning, internal mobility, succession planning, and talent development.
- Identify critical talent and retention risks.
- Partner with recruitment teams on hiring requirements and workforce forecasts.
3. Employee Engagement & Retention
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Conduct employee connects, skip-level interactions, and engagement discussions.
- Analyze employee feedback and engagement data and recommend appropriate actions.
- Identify key drivers of attrition and work with leaders on retention strategies.
4. Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances, conflicts, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns.
- Partner with managers to resolve employee issues fairly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality while handling sensitive employee matters.
5. HR Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze HR metrics such as:
- Attrition and retention
- Headcount and workforce trends
- Internal movements
- Hiring and talent metrics
- Prepare regular HR dashboards and reports for leadership.
- Ensure effective implementation of HR policies and processes.
- Support compliance with applicable labor and employment laws.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
- Collaborate with HR Operations, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, L&D, and other HR functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in software consulting, IT services, SaaS, or technology organizations.
- Strong experience in HR business partnering and stakeholder management.
- Good understanding of performance management, employee engagement, talent management, and employee relations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and technology/project teams.
- Strong analytical and HR reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting software development, consulting, or delivery teams.
- Understanding of project-based/resource-based IT environments.
- Experience managing HR initiatives across multiple teams or locations.
- Familiarity with HRMS/HRIS and people analytics tools.
- Strong knowledge of employment practices and HR compliance in India.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
