Job summary

Bosch Chassis Systems India Ltd in India is seeking an Industry automation engineer to develop and optimize PLC-based control systems for manufacturing equipment.

Bachelor's in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation is required; hands-on experience with Profibus/Ethernet/RS232 is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation engineering.
Hands-on PLC programming with STL/SFC and machine controls.
Experience with electrical wiring and component selection is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, validate, and troubleshoot PLC programs for manufacturing machines.
Maintain PLC software, backups, version control, and documentation.
Lead machine control system upgrades and select automation components.
Manage MES and ensure end-to-end product traceability and data integrity.
Drive root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Continuous improvement of processes to boost quality and productivity.
Evaluate and implement Engineering Change Requests with minimal downtime.
Implement Industry 4.0 initiatives, including connectivity and data analytics.
Ensure cybersecurity for automation systems and networks.

Bosch Chassis Systems India Ltd is a 100% Bosch owned company in India. The company design and develops world class Hydraulic Brake System Parts that include Boosters, Tandem master cylinders and Proportionating valves. The Control Division develops innovative components, systems and functions in the field of vehicle safety, vehicle dynamics and driver assistance like ABS and ESP.RBIC would soon be expanding portfolio in passive safety and other Driver assistance products.

PLC Programming:Develop, modify, validate, and troubleshoot PLC programs for manufacturing machines and equipment to ensure reliable operation and process stability.

Software Management:Maintain PLC software, backups, version control, and documentation to ensure compliance, traceability, and smooth machine lifecycle management.

Machine & Technology Upgrades:Lead machine control system upgrades and select appropriate automation, control, and electronic components to enhance performance and reliability.

MES & Traceability:Manage Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ensuring end-to-end product traceability, manufacturing data integrity, and production information management.

Root Cause Analysis:Drive systematic problem-solving using quality tools to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Continuous Improvement:Optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, cost efficiency, equipment performance, and cycle time.

Change Management:Evaluate, validate, and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) while ensuring process compliance and minimal production impact.

Digital Manufacturing:Implement Industry 4.0 initiatives including early warning systems, machine connectivity, data analytics, machine learning applications, IoT integration, and smart factory solutions.

Cybersecurity:Ensure cybersecurity compliance for manufacturing systems, industrial networks, PLCs, and connected equipment by implementing secure automation practices and risk mitigation measures.
