Job summary

SIFY Technologies Limited is hiring an L1 R&S Engineer in Mumbai. The role requires 2–4 years of network engineering experience, CCNA certification, and a strong grasp of routing, switching, and security concepts. You will work with Cisco/Juniper/Arista gear in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include configuring VLANs/VPNs, QoS, and multicast, plus monitoring with SolarWinds/PRTG/Nagios. Excellent communication and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on network engineering experience including routing and switching.
• CCNA or equivalent certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and MPLS in enterprise networks.

Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, VPNs, QoS and multicast across enterprise networks.
• Monitor network performance using SolarWinds, PRTG or Nagios and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain network security with firewalls, IDS/IPS and access control.
• Coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.

Total Experience: 2 to 4 Years

Education Qualification: Any Degree

Certification: CCNA

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:-

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade routers and switches from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and multicast protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.
• Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualification & Experience Required:-

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on routing and switching.
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certification is required.

Good understanding of procedures, application and concepts within own subject area and understanding them in the context of the business
