Job summary

Integrated Personnel Services is seeking an HVAC Supervisor-DC to oversee critical cooling infrastructure in a data centre. You will monitor HVAC systems, lead technicians, and ensure uptime of chillers, AHUs, CRAH/CRAC units, and related controls.

The role requires 3–10 years of HVAC experience in data centres or mission-critical facilities, with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. On-site, shift-based work is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of HVAC execution experience, preferably in data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of AHUs, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and BMS systems.
• Diploma/ITI/B.E. with leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor temperature, humidity, and airflow to ensure 24/7 operation of HVAC systems in the data centre.
• Lead HVAC technicians and service engineers; assign tasks and maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues and respond quickly to cooling failures to minimise downtime.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all HVAC units.
• Ensure safety and compliance with health, safety regulations and building codes.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and facility teams for installations.

An HVAC Supervisor for a data centre is responsible for overseeing the critical cooling infrastructure such as chillers, AHUs, and CRAC/CRAH units to ensure maximum uptime, optimal temperature, and humidity levels for sensitive IT equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor temperature, humidity, and airflow in critical white-space environments. Ensure 24/7 operation of HVAC equipment, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and DX/VRF systems.
• Team Leadership & Scheduling: Supervise and guide HVAC technicians and service engineers, assigning daily tasks, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
• Troubleshooting & Emergency Response: Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues. Respond immediately to cooling failures to minimise downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all HVAC units to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Team Leadership & Scheduling: Supervise and guide HVAC technicians and service engineers, assigning daily tasks, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
• Troubleshooting & Emergency Response: Perform technical troubleshooting of complex HVAC issues. Respond immediately to cooling failures to minimise downtime.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations (HSE), conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with building codes.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate with contractors, vendor providers, and facility teams for installations

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3 to 10 years in HVAC execution, with specific experience in data centres or mission-critical industrial facilities.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of AHUs, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and BMS systems
• Education: Diploma/ITI/B.E.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work in shift-based or on-call roles.
• Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and inventory management.
• Experience with AutoCAD for interpreting technical drawings.
