Job summary

AdaniConnex in Mumbai is seeking a Mechanical SME Design (HVAC Design - DataCenter) with 9–14 years in data center projects. BE Mechanical is required. You will lead HVAC design, support construction, and oversee multiple capacity augmentation and retrofit projects.

You will review designs, coordinate with site teams, and provide cost-efficient change orders. Knowledge of standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, Uptime, TIA 942) and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical is required.
• Extensive exposure to mid to large scale Data center / Mission critical projects.
• Knowledge of Data Center Guidelines & Practices.
• Knowledge of Ashra, Ishrae, Uptime & TIA 942 Practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Project and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design for Data Centre services and oversee construction support and closeout of multiple data center capacity augmentation or retrofit projects.

• Develop cost saving solutions for change orders and assist with capital budgets and BOQ construction cost estimates.

Purpose

• HVAC Design Engineer for Data Centre services . It is essential that the HVAC Design Engineer has extensive exposure to mid to large scale Data center / Mission critical projects.
• Manage HVAC design, construction support and closeout of multiple consecutive data center capacity augment and/or retrofit projects
• Provide contractor, Site team and vendor oversight on a per project basis
• Provide cost saving solutions for change orders
• Assist with developing capital project budgets and provide BOQ construction cost estimates.
• Perform constructability and coordination reviews.Utilize the latest construction industry trends and pioneer new trends as they emerge.

Key Accountability

• Good knowledge of capital budget, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Previous experience of Designing Hyperscale solution from start to close.
• Knowledge of Data Center Guidelines & Practices.
• Knowledge of Ashra, Ishrae, Uptime & TIA 942 Practices
• Knowledge of local industry standards, building codes and safety standards is preferable
• Must have effective written and verbal communications skills
• Functional in MS Project, MS Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point etc.).
• Should be able to conduct ISAT in coordination with other team member
• Should be able to review design and share inputs to make system more efficient.
• Experience of Equipment selection and testing (site & factory) of the following equipments & systems :
• Chiller’s, pumps, valves, thermal storage, makeup water tank, plumbing, Plant manager, building firefighting (excluding Fire alarm and suppression), plumbing, room ventilation, PAHU, Fan wall, AHU, cold/hot aisle containment, airflow management etc
