Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
• 6–7 years of HR experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong recruitment, employee relations, performance mgmt and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end recruitment for technical and non-technical roles.
• Collaborate with heads to plan manpower and hiring strategies.
• Manage onboarding, transfers, promotions, and exits.
• Handle employee relations and grievance resolution.
• Support performance management and development programs.
• Develop HR policies, processes and SOPs.
• Maintain HR records, attendance, leaves and HRMS data.
• Coordinate payroll inputs with finance.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
• Monitor HR metrics and management reporting.

About the Role:

Puzzolana is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to oversee key human resource functions across our organization. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the heavy machinery, mining equipment, engineering, automotive, construction equipment, or manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical, engineering, sales, service, manufacturing, and corporate positions.
• Partner with department heads to understand manpower requirements and develop effective hiring plans.
• Handle employee onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities.
• Manage employee relations, grievance resolution, disciplinary matters, and workplace engagement initiatives.
• Support performance management, goal setting, appraisals, and employee development programs.
• Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain employee records, HR documentation, attendance, leave, and HRMS data.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and ensure timely processing in collaboration with the finance and payroll teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Monitor HR metrics, prepare management reports, and recommend improvements.
• Plan employee engagement, retention, training, and organizational development initiatives.
• Promote a positive, productive, and performance-driven workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements:

• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification.
• 6–7 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in the heavy machinery, mining equipment, engineering, automotive, or manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR operations, and statutory compliance.
• Experience hiring technical and engineering professionals is essential.
• Good understanding of labour laws and manufacturing-industry HR practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with employees and senior management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS platforms.
