Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an HR Lead to partner with business leaders in Haridwar and drive people strategy across manufacturing operations. The role blends strategic workforce planning, capability building, and HR operations to support plant expansion and high-performing teams.

The ideal candidate will have 4–8 years of HRBP experience, a postgraduate degree in HRM or MBA, and proven ability to manage HR for a manufacturing unit while engaging senior stakeholders and driving

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of HR Business Partner experience, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or industrial organizations.
  • Post graduate degree in HRM or MBA.
  • Demonstrated experience in independently managing HR responsibilities for a manufacturing location/business unit.
  • Exposure to greenfield plant setup, plant expansion, or large-scale workforce ramp-up initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior business leaders.
  • Experience in talent management, organization development, employee relations, and workforce planning.
  • Proven skill in operations and basic software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and organize workload to ensure short timelines are met with no compromise on quality of deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Provide insights on ground level business challenges and implementation support for establishing organization structure and manpower plan that caters to business needs.
  • Drive Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) to map the people strategy with the business strategy.
  • Support HR workstreams for greenfield manufacturing projects and plant expansion initiatives.
  • Implement behavioral and functional trainings and programs at Business/Functional level to ensure that capability development needs are adequately met.
  • Implement talent management processes at the business/functional level to ensure continuous identification and development of high-potential talent.
  • Lead implementation of performance management activities at the business level to ensure adherence with organization-wide PMS guidelines and timelines.
  • Manage recruitment and onboarding to ensure on-time availability of manpower in accordance with business/function requirements and facilitate smooth operations.
  • Manage total rewards and recognition system for the business/function through streamlined implementation and administration of processes.
  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. Partner with business leaders and other functions to maintain a highly motivated and engaged workforce.
  • Provide support for implementation of technology enabled solutions and systems in the respective business units.
  • Manage critical employee and HR management aspects such as communications, employee exit, personal data, and grievance redressal to facilitate healthy/harmonious climate within the organization.

Job description

Based out of Haridwar, the Business HR Lead will act as the trusted HR partner to business leaders, driving people strategy and enabling business outcomes across manufacturing operations. The role requires balancing strategic workforce planning, organization effectiveness, talent management, employee engagement, and HR operations while independently supporting plant and business leadership teams.

The incumbent will play a critical role in organizational capability initiatives, driving workforce expansion, implementing people processes, and ensuring a high-performing and engaged workforce. The role demands strong stakeholder management, manufacturing HR expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic growth environments.

About the role:

The HR Manager is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing a great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

Experience
