Qualifications & Experience
- MBA in HR / MSW / MLS in Personnel Management , LLB qualification desirable.
- About 15 years of experience in HR , Industrial Relations & Administration, with significant exposure in a manufacturing operation
Key responsibilities (HR)
- Strategic HR leadership: Develop & implement HR strategies that align with the company's manufacturing goals, Ability to lead the HR department & influence organizational culture & policies.
- Talent management: Lead all aspects of recruitment, hiring, & onboarding to build a high-performing manufacturing workforce.
- Manufacturing-specific knowledge: Understanding of the unique challenges of manufacturing, such as safety protocols, shift work, & labor-intensive jobs.
- General HR Functions: Oversee various HR functions including recruitment, talent management, performance appraisal frameworks, training & development, payroll processing, & employee welfare activities (e.g., canteens, transport, safety measures).
- HR knowledge: Expertise across all core HR functions, including, employee relations, compensation, & compliance.
- HR operations: Supervise daily HR activities & manage HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Key responsibilities (IR)
- Employee relations: Foster a positive & productive work environment by managing grievances, resolving conflicts, & improving employee engagement.
- Statutory Compliance & Liaising: Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory labor laws, the Factories Act, the Industrial Disputes Act, EPF, ESIC, & LWF. Liaise effectively with government authorities, including the Labour Department, Factory Inspectorate, Pollution Control Board (PCB), & Industrial Development Corporations
- Performance & development: Oversee performance management systems & develop training & development programs to enhance employee skills.
- Compensation & benefits: Manage & administer compensation structures & benefits packages.

- Collective Bargaining & Compensation Support: Participate in collective bargaining processes, including defining terms, conducting cost analysis, & supporting the review of salary structures & HR policies based on changes in labor codes.
- Manpower & Contract Labour Management: Oversee manpower planning & management, ensuring full compliance in contract labor engagement processes & handling third-party contracts.
- Disciplinary Matters & Grievance Handling: Manage employee discipline, handle grievances, counsel employees, & draft necessary documentation such as show cause, warning letters, & charge sheets. Handle labor court cases when necessary.
