Job Title: HR&IR Manager
Location: Kamothe , Navi Mumbai
Job Summary
The HR & IR Manager will lead and manage endtoend HR ;IR operations for the manufacturing unit, ensuring alignment of HR practices with business goals. The role covers the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit management — with strong emphasis on payroll administration, bluecollar workforce management, compliance, and administrative functions supporting plant operations. The incumbent must have proven experience in handling 300+ employees, including staff and shopfloor workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop hiring strategies for technical, nontechnical, and shopfloor roles.
- Partner with department heads to forecast manpower needs.
Onboarding & Induction
- Design structured induction programs for plant employees.
- Ensure smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
Payroll Management
- Oversee monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, etc.).
- Coordinate with finance/accounts for timely disbursement.
BlueCollar Workforce Handling
- Implement HR practices tailored to shopfloor and contract employees.
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations and grievance redressal.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and factory regulations.
Compliance & Statutory Management
- Ensure adherence to labour laws, safety regulations, and statutory filings.
- Liaise with government authorities for inspections, audits, and approvals.
Industrial Relations Handling
- Manage IR issues proactively, ensuring harmonious relations between
management and workforce. Handle union negotiations, grievance redressal,
and conflict resolution. Develop strategies to prevent disputes and maintain
compliance with labour laws. Liaise with labour authorities and external
stakeholders during inspections or disputes.
Administration & Facility Management
- Oversee canteen operations, vendor management, and service contracts.
- Drive infrastructure development and maintenance projects.
- Ensure smooth daytoday plant administration.
Employee Welfare & Engagement
- Organize welfare programs and engagement activities.
- Promote employee wellbeing and retention initiatives.
Performance Management
- Implement appraisal systems and KPIs tailored to manufacturing operations.
- Facilitate performance reviews and career development discussions.
Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps and design training modules for plant staff.
- Promote continuous learning and development initiatives.
Exit Management
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends.
- Ensure smooth clearance and documentation for departing employees.
Requirements
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
- 8–12 years of HR experience, with strong exposure to manufacturing/industrial setups.
- Proven expertise in payroll management, bluecollar workforce handling, and compliance.
- Handson experience in administration functions including canteen, vendor, and infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills.
