Position Title: HR Manager / Plant HR & IR Manager

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Plant HR & Industrial Relations (IR) professional with strong expertise in managing HR operations, industrial relations, labour law compliance, contract labour management, and employee relations within manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate should possess extensive hands‑on experience in plant HR operations and demonstrate the ability to maintain harmonious industrial relations while ensuring statutory compliance across multiple manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Relations & Employee Relations
- Manage and maintain healthy industrial relations across manufacturing locations.
- Handle trade unions and maintain effective relationships with union representatives.
- Resolve employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and industrial disputes.
- Represent the organization before labour authorities, conciliation officers, and labour courts when required.
- Ensure a harmonious work environment and drive employee engagement initiatives.
Labour Law & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, factory regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor adherence to labour legislations including Factory Act, Industrial Disputes Act, CLRA Act, Minimum Wages Act, Shops & Establishment Act, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, and other statutory obligations.
- Conduct periodic compliance audits and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external agencies, labour departments, and statutory authorities.
Contract Labour Management
- Manage end-to-end contract labour administration and compliance.
- Ensure contractor compliance with statutory and organizational requirements.
- Monitor contractor workforce deployment, documentation, licensing, and statutory payments.
- Drive cost optimization and process improvements in contract labour management.
Plant HR Operations
- Lead plant HR activities including manpower planning, recruitment support, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and HR administration.
- Implement performance management, employee engagement, training, and retention initiatives.
- Partner with plant leadership teams to support business objectives and workforce planning.
- Support HR strategy implementation across multiple manufacturing locations.
Payroll & Administration
- Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance management, statutory deductions, and employee benefits administration.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processing activities.
- Maintain HR records, MIS reporting, and documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, or related discipline.
- 812 years of overall experience with a minimum of 6 years of Plant HR experience.
- Strong exposure to Industrial Relations, Labour Laws, Contract Labour Management, and Employee Relations.
- Hands‑on experience in handling trade unions and unionized workforces.
- Experience managing labour disputes, labour authorities, and court cases.
- Must have worked in manufacturing organizations/plants.
- Experience managing multi‑location manufacturing operations will be preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
