Job summary

Chemtex Speciality Limited is seeking a proactive HR professional in Kolkata to shape manpower planning and drive end-to-end recruitment for a manufacturing setup. The role emphasizes policy development, documentation, and strict adherence to labour laws.

You will coordinate statutory processes and partner with management to maintain compliant, efficient HR operations across the shop floor and factory environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM in HR or Personnel Management/Industrial Relations preferred.
• Labour law compliance training or factory HR management advantageous.
• Typically 3–6 years HR experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in chemical/manufacturing industries preferred.
• Experience handling shift-based employees and shop-floor manpower advantageous.

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain employee files, appointment letters, employment agreements, and separation documents.


• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and workplace policies.


• Coordinate applicable statutory registrations, returns, contributions, and inspections with the relevant teams or consultants.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.


• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or a postgraduate qualification in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations is preferred.


• Additional training in labour law compliance, industrial relations, or factory HR management will be an advantage.


• Typically 3-6 years of relevant HR experience, depending on the size and complexity of the manufacturing facility.


• Prior experience in chemical, or manufacturing industries is preferred.


• Experience in factory HR, contract labour management, industrial relations, and statutory compliance is desirable.


• Experience handling shift-based employees and shop-floor manpower is an advantage.
