Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for blue-collar, staff, and executive positions.
- Coordinate with department heads for manpower requirements and recruitment planning.
- Source candidates through Naukri, job portals, employee referrals, consultants, and campus drives.
- Conduct preliminary screening, interview coordination, selection, and offer/joining formalities.
- Maintain recruitment MIS and joining status.
2. Employee Joining & Onboarding
- Manage joining formalities and documentation of new employees.
- Conduct induction and orientation programs for new joiners.
- Ensure timely completion of employee documentation, background verification, and HR system updates.
- Coordinate with respective departments for smooth onboarding.
3. Attendance & HR Operations
- Manage daily attendance, leave, shift, late-coming, absenteeism, and manpower records.
- Monitor attendance and manpower deployment in coordination with production/operations teams.
- Prepare and maintain HR MIS, employee records, and monthly reports.
- Handle employee transfers, confirmation, promotions, and separation formalities.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Handle day-to-day employee grievances and coordinate with management for resolution.
- Support employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives, and communication programs.
- Maintain positive employee relations at the plant.
- Conduct exit interviews and support attrition analysis.
5. Payroll & Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate with payroll team for monthly payroll inputs.
- Ensure accurate attendance, overtime, leave, and other payroll-related data.
- Support statutory compliance related to PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment/Factories Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors/vendors for manpower-related documentation and compliance.
6. Training & Development
- Coordinate employee training programs, induction training, and skill development initiatives.
- Maintain training records and support preparation of the annual training calendar.
- Coordinate with department heads for training requirements.
7. HR Policies & Processes
- Ensure implementation of company HR policies and SOPs at the plant.
- Support disciplinary actions and documentation as per company policy.
- Ensure compliance with company rules, HR processes, and workplace discipline.
- Support POSH awareness and other employee welfare initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HR operations in a manufacturing/automobile environment.
- Good understanding of recruitment and manpower planning.
- Knowledge of attendance, payroll inputs, overtime, and shift management.
- Basic knowledge of PF, ESI, statutory compliance, and labour laws.
- Good employee relations and grievance-handling skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and HRMS.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/plant environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Graduate/MBA in HR / Human Resources / Personnel Management.
- 25 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in automobile, auto components, engineering, or manufacturing industries.
- Candidates with plant HR / factory HR experience will be preferred.
- Experience handling both blue-collar and staff employees will be an added advantage.
