Job summary

Chaudhary Group is seeking an experienced HR/IR leader to oversee labor relations, recruitment, compliance, and performance management for its manufacturing operations in India.

The role emphasizes union negotiations (where applicable), wage and safety compliance, and programs to enhance retention, training, and leadership development for floor supervisors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Industrial Relations: Manage union negotiations (if applicable), collective bargaining agreements, grievance handling, and conflict resolution on the shop floor.
• Recruitment & Staffing: Source and hire skilled and semi-skilled manufacturing workers (such as machine operators, technicians, and supervisors) alongside corporate staff.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to labor laws, wage-and-hour regulations, and occupational health and safety standards (such as OSHA or local factory acts).
• Performance & Retention: Oversee performance appraisals, manage disciplinary actions or terminations, and design programs to curb absenteeism and high turnover.
• Training & Development: Coordinate technical training, safety drills, machine operation certifications, and leadership programs for floor supervisors.
• Compensation & Benefits: Administer hourly wages, shift allowances, overtime calculations, health insurance, and workers' compensation claims.
