Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for all functions and manage sourcing strategies.
  • Oversee daily HR operations, onboarding, payroll inputs, and records.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, PF/ESI, gratuity, minimum wages, and related filings.
  • Establish KPIs and manage performance evaluations across departments.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and ensure consistent application.
  • Manage HRMS, data integrity, and process automation.
  • Prepare monthly HR MIS reports and dashboards for management.
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and exit processes.
  • Coordinate with consultants, agencies, and external HR partners.
  • Identify training needs and oversee development programs.
  • Collaborate with management on manpower planning and succession.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead and manage the complete HR function, including recruitment, statutory compliance, performance management, HR policies, employee relations, HR systems, and MIS reporting. The candidate should have strong experience in the FMCG/Food industry and the ability to coordinate with all Department Heads and management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for corporate, manufacturing, sales, retail, warehouse, and other functions.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with consultants and candidates.
  • Manage multiple recruitment sources and manpower agencies.
  • Develop effective sourcing strategies for different levels of positions.
  • Ensure timely hiring based on manpower requirements.
2. HR Operations
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations across all departments.
  • Maintain employee records, attendance, leave, joining, confirmation, transfers, and exit processes.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and employee documentation.
  • Coordinate with Department Heads regarding manpower requirements and HR-related matters.
3. Labour Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor PF, ESI, PT, gratuity, bonus, labour welfare, minimum wages, working hours, leave, and other applicable compliances.
  • Coordinate with consultants and statutory authorities whenever required.
  • Maintain statutory records and ensure timely submissions and renewals.
4. Performance Management
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and performance indicators for all departments.
  • Coordinate with all Department Heads for performance evaluation.
  • Analyse the performance of Department Heads and their respective teams.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and identify performance gaps.
  • Recommend corrective actions, training, development, and improvement plans.
5. HR Policy Implementation
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of company policies across all departments and locations.
  • Communicate HR policies effectively to employees and Department Heads.
  • Review policies based on business and statutory requirements.
6. HRMS / HR System Management
  • Manage and monitor the HRMS/system for employee data, attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and other HR processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely updating of employee information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through technology and automation.
7. MIS & HR Reporting
  • Prepare and present monthly HR MIS reports to management.
  • Monitor headcount, recruitment status, attrition, absenteeism, attendance, manpower cost, and employee performance.
  • Prepare department-wise HR reports and management dashboards.
  • Analyse HR data and provide recommendations to management.
8. Employee Relations
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
  • Maintain positive employee relations and promote a healthy work environment.
  • Support Department Heads in resolving employee-related issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyse reasons for employee turnover.
9. Consultant & Vendor Management
  • Coordinate with HR consultants, recruitment agencies, labour-law consultants, and other HR service providers.
  • Evaluate consultant performance and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Maintain professional relationships with external HR partners.
10. Training & Development
  • Identify training requirements in coordination with Department Heads.
  • Develop and coordinate employee training programs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and employee development.
11. Management Coordination
  • Work closely with the Management and all Department Heads on HR-related matters.
  • Provide HR insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Support organisational development, manpower planning, and succession planning.

Preferred candidate profile
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in FMCG/Food Manufacturing, Retail, or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in handling recruitment, performance management, HR operations, and employee relations.
  • Experience working with HRMS/HR systems and preparing MIS reports.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to independently manage HR functions and coordinate with senior management and Department Heads.
