Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR/BA/Psychology or related field.
  • MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent preferred.
  • 12 years HR experience.

  • Prior experience in a creative agency, startup, or service industry advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition: Source, screen, coordinate interviews; manage recruitment process; build candidate pipeline.
  • Onboarding & HR Operations: Smooth onboarding, maintain records, prepare HR documents, ensure policy compliance.
  • Employee Engagement: Plan events, support performance reviews, foster positive culture.
  • Attendance & Compliance: Maintain attendance/leave data; coordinate payroll inputs; ensure labor-law compliance.
  • Learning & Development: Coordinate training programs; stay updated with HR trends.
  • General HR Support: First point of contact for queries; assist HR leadership with reports and projects.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Human Resources Assistant based in Pune. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for supporting HR management activities, administering employee benefits, maintaining and updating HR information systems (HRIS), and coordinating employee programs. The role will also involve assisting the HR Head with tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining employee records, while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

Talent Acquisition
  • Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for various positions.
  • Manage the recruitment process from job posting to offer rollout.
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Coordinate with department heads to understand hiring requirements.
Employee Onboarding & HR Operations
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding and induction for new employees.
  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and databases.
  • Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, and other HR documents.
  • Ensure HR policies are communicated and followed.
Employee Engagement
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, celebrations, and team-building activities.
  • Support performance review processes and employee feedback initiatives.
  • Help foster a positive and collaborative work culture.
Attendance & Compliance
  • Maintain attendance, leave records, and employee data.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs with the finance/accounts team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
Learning & Development
  • Coordinate internal learning sessions and training programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee experience and HR processes.
  • Stay updated with HR best practices and industry trends.

General HR Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries.
  • Assist leadership with HR reports, analytics, and administrative tasks.
  • Support various HR projects and organizational initiatives as required.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of HR fundamentals and recruitment processes.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.

  • Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance will be an advantage.
