Job summary

21K School in Bengaluru's Indiranagar is seeking a motivated HR Intern to join our Talent Acquisition team at our Indiranagar office. This role offers hands-on exposure to the complete recruitment lifecycle in a fast-paced EdTech environment, with a focus on learning HR operations and candidate engagement.

You will screen candidates, source talent through portals and referrals, coordinate interviews, and contribute to employer branding.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s/Master’s in HR, BBA, MBA, Psychology, or any relevant field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and MS Office
  • Knowledge of job portals and social recruiting is a plus
  • High ownership, good follow-up skills, and positive attitude
  • Must be able to work from Indiranagar, Bangalore office

Responsibilities

  • Support the Talent Acquisition team in managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
  • Conduct first-level screening of candidates from the internal database and external sources to assess basic fitment (as per defined criteria).
  • Source potential candidates through job portals, social media platforms, employee referrals, and other relevant channels.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews (telephonic, virtual, or in-person) between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Conduct initial HR screening calls to evaluate candidate interest, communication skills, and role alignment.
  • Review resumes and shortlist candidates based on job requirements and organizational fit.
  • Maintain accurate and updated candidate records, trackers, and recruitment databases.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by acting as the primary point of contact for candidate queries and follow‑ups.
  • Assist in employer branding initiatives, including job postings and outreach communication.
  • Meet defined daily/weekly targets related to sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand role requirements and hiring priorities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on hiring progress, pipeline status, and challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to recruitment processes, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Support any additional HR or recruitment-related tasks as assigned by the Reporting Manager or management from time to time.]
