Job summary

ATL Battery Technology in Haryana is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll for 1,500+ employees at our manufacturing facility. You will oversee salary processing, attendance, leaves, and statutory compliance, ensuring timely payments and accurate records.

The role requires strong knowledge of Indian payroll laws, hands-on experience with payroll software, and the ability to coordinate with stakeholders to implement policies and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in end-to-end payroll management.
• Experience handling payroll for 1,500+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on with various employee categories (permanent, contractual, trainee/DET/NAPS).
• Strong knowledge of Indian payroll laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing including salary preparation, leave and attendance management, and statutory compliance.
• Ensure timely payment of salaries and benefits via multiple payment modes.
• Maintain accurate employee data and up-to-date records in the database.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for policy implementation and compliance.
• Analyze payroll trends and provide insights to improve processes.
• Conduct payroll benchmarking and align with industry standards.
• Identify opportunities for payroll process improvement and automation.
• Support audits related to payroll and ensure confidentiality of payroll data.

• Maintain accurate records of employee data, ensuring up-to-date information in the database.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for policy implementation and compliance management.

• Conduct payroll benchmarking and support alignment with industry standards.
• Identify opportunities for payroll process improvement and automation.
• Support internal, statutory and external audits related to payroll.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of employee payroll information.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in end-to-end payroll management.
• Experience handling payroll for 1,500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing / factory environment.
• Hands-on experience with permanent, contractual, trainee/DET/NAPS or other categories of employees will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Payroll laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Payroll software applications
