Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in a factory HR role handling labour procurement, payroll and compliance.
• Payroll and biometric systems familiarity; PF/ESI portals and wage calculations.
• Experience managing 200+ factory workers across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Management: process salaries, overtime, leave, and bonus; manage deductions and issue payslips.
• Attendance & Documentation: manage attendance, leaves, shift rosters, and records; maintain employee files and muster rolls.
• Labour Procurement & Vendor Management: coordinate contractors, review invoices, ensure backup vendors.
• Statutory Compliance: ensure compliance with Labour Codes, run PF/ESI portals, maintain registers and support inspections.
• Employee Welfare & Plant HR administration: handle grievances, onboarding support, safety training and PPE coordination.

Position Overview

Handle plant HR, payroll, attendance, contract manpower, and statutory compliance for on-roll staff and contract labour. Report to the Plant HR Head / Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Management & Compensation

• Process monthly salaries, wages, overtime, leave, and bonus.
• Manage PF, ESI, and Professional Tax deductions.
• Issue payslips, maintain wage registers, and close payroll queries.
• Verify contractor wage sheets and rate cards before payment.

2. Attendance & Documentation

• Manage attendance, leave, shift rosters, and overtime via biometric and logs.
• Maintain employee files: KYC, appointment letters, bank details.
• Keep muster rolls, onboarding records, service cards, and exit forms updated.
• Track shift headcount and report absenteeism.

3. Factory Labour Procurement & Vendor Management

• Coordinate contractors to supply skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled labour across plant units.
• Keep backup vendors for shortages and production spikes.
• Review contractor invoices against biometric logs and approve billing.

4. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law

• Ensure compliance with the four Labour Codes: Code on Wages, 2019; Industrial Relations Code, 2020; Code on Social Security, 2020; and Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
• Run PF and ESI portals: enrolments, monthly returns, challans.
• Maintain statutory registers and support labour inspections.

5. Employee Welfare & Plant HR administration

• Handle floor grievances and contract-worker disputes.
• Support onboarding, safety training, and PPE with EHS.
• Coordinate health check-ups, safety drills, and workplace hygiene.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelors in HR, BBA/BCom, or related field. MBA/PG Diploma in HR, IR, or Labour Laws preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in a factory (plywood, timber, paper, manufacturing, or heavy industry).
• Payroll and biometric systems; PF and ESI portals; wage calculations.
• Experience managing 200+ factory workers across shifts.
• Languages: Hindi and local language; working written English.
