Job summary

Mindtel, a dynamic BFSI leader, is building a high-performance HR function to power talent acquisition, engagement, and compliance at scale in Mumbai. You will lead end-to-end recruitment for mid to senior roles, design policies aligned with labor laws, and partner with leadership on workforce planning and retention strategies.

As part of a scaling BFSI organization, you will manage payroll, lifecycle processes, onboarding and offboarding, and ensure statutory compliance with regulatory updates

Qualifications

• Must possess hands-on experience with HRMS, payroll processes, and labor law compliance.
• Strong knowledge of BFSI regulatory requirements and performance management platforms.
• Experience in end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end recruitment for mid to senior roles across BFSI sectors.
• Design HR policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks aligned with local labor laws.
• Collaborate with leadership to forecast workforce needs and improve retention KPIs.
• Administer payroll coordination, leaves, performance reviews, and exit formalities.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding programs ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Maintain statutory records with legal and finance teams.

About the Opportunity

A dynamic leader in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) sector, we’re building a high-performance HR function that powers talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance at scale. We operate across multiple markets in India, supporting rapid growth through strategic workforce planning, culture-building initiatives, and data-driven HR operations—all while ensuring regulatory alignment and operational excellence in a fast-evolving financial landscape.

Role & Responsibilities

• End-to-end recruitment lifecycle management—from sourcing and screening to onboarding for mid to senior roles across BFSI verticals.
• Design and execute HR policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks aligned with local labor laws ( Shops & Establishments Act, PF, ESI, etc. ).
• Partner with business heads to forecast workforce needs, manage attrition, and drive retention strategies with measurable KPIs.
• Administer employee lifecycle processes including payroll coordination, leaves, performance reviews, and exit formalities.
• Lead onboarding & offboarding programs, ensuring seamless integration and compliance for new hires and departing employees.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to maintain statutory records, audits, and labor law updates relevant to BFSI operations.
