Role & responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate with project managers to assess manpower needs for skilled and semi-skilled workers.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment of site staff (foremen, supervisors, safety officers, technicians, and general laborers).
- Conduct initial screenings, coordinate interviews, and manage all joining formalities.
2. Attendance & Payroll Administration
- Monitor and validate daily attendance of laborers, workmen, and site staff using biometric or manual systems.
- Coordinate with accounts to process monthly payroll, including overtime and leave, and assist in salary distribution.
3. Statutory & Legal Compliance
- Ensure site compliance with all applicable construction labor laws (PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Contract Labour Act, etc.).
- Liaise with local authorities for inspections and maintain statutory registers, records, and returns.
4. Employee Relations & Industrial Harmony
- Address employee grievances and maintain harmonious industrial relations to prevent conflicts.
- Promote a positive work environment and organize site-level welfare activities, canteen, and accommodation management.
5. Training & Development
- Organize safety training, skill upgradation programs, and toolbox talks.
- Maintain training records and certifications, and coordinate mandatory safety induction sessions.
6. General HR & Administration
- Maintain accurate personal files, ID cards, and gate pass records.
- Assist in policy implementation across sites and coordinate with corporate HR for smooth operations.
Preferred candidate profile
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Executive to manage human resource operations directly at our construction project sites in Hyderabad, Telangana. This role is responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions, including manpower planning, recruitment, attendance management, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee relations, and welfare activities. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical bridge between the site workforce and corporate HR, ensuring smooth project execution and adherence to labor laws.
Education & Experience
- Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of relevant HR experience (experience in the construction or engineering sectors is required).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle a diverse, multilingual workforce.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of local construction labor laws and statutory compliance.
