Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented and service-focused Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and guest satisfaction across the hotel.

The ideal candidate should have good supervisory skills, operational knowledge of housekeeping procedures and the ability to lead a team while maintaining the service standards expected of a 5-star deluxe hotel.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, corridors and other hotel premises.
2. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
3. Allocate duties and work schedules to housekeeping associates and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
4. Monitor room status and coordinate closely with the Front Office team for room readiness, guest arrivals and departures.
5. Ensure proper handling, storage and maintenance of housekeeping equipment, cleaning materials and supplies.
6. Monitor linen inventory, guest supplies and operating equipment, ensuring optimum utilisation and minimal wastage.
7. Train, guide and motivate housekeeping associates on cleaning procedures, grooming, hygiene and service standards.
8. Attend to guest requests, complaints and housekeeping-related service issues promptly and professionally.
9. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, hygiene protocols and standard operating procedures.
10. Maintain daily reports, inspection checklists, lost and found records and other departmental documentation.
11. Coordinate with the Engineering Department for maintenance complaints and ensure timely rectification.
12. Ensure proper handover of shifts and effective communication within the department.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 25 years of experience in the Housekeeping Department of a reputed hotel or resort.
• Prior experience in a supervisory role will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of guest room cleaning, public area maintenance, linen management and housekeeping operations.
• Strong leadership, team management and coordination skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-groomed, disciplined and guest-oriented personality.
• Ability to handle operational challenges and work in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Flexible to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
