Responsibilities

• Recruitment, onboarding, evaluations, and disciplinary actions with empathetic communication.
• Issue daily assignments, review requests, and manage Lost and Found for guest satisfaction.
• Control inventory by issuing supplies at shift start and manage resources.
• Respond to guest questions and provide assistance to enhance experience.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Analyze operations data and implement efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate services.

Job Description

• Lead, supervise, and manage the housekeeping team by providing clear communication, comprehensive training, coaching, and constructive performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency and staff development
• Conduct daily inspections of all guestrooms, public areas, exterior spaces, and back-of-house areas to maintain the highest cleanliness standards and ensure compliance with organizational policies
• Monitor and oversee the completion of deep cleaning programs, assign tasks strategically, and ensure smooth workflow throughout the department
• Manage staff recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions while maintaining transparent and empathetic communication with all team members
• Issue daily assignments to staff, review special requests and priority areas, and manage the Lost and Found system to ensure optimal coordination and guest satisfaction
• Control inventory by issuing supplies and goods to staff at the beginning of shifts, ensuring adequate resources are available while managing expenses effectively
• Respond promptly to guest questions and requests, providing assistance, direction, and information to enhance the guest experience
• Ensure strict compliance with accident prevention programs, health and sanitation regulations, and quality assurance standards to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Analyze operational data, identify areas for improvement, and recommend and implement procedural changes to enhance efficiency and service quality
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate services and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years previous leadership experience in Housekeeping Department
• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
