Job summary

Soho House & Co in Mumbai is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to prepare and clean guest rooms, replenish supplies, and maintain public areas. You will respond to guest requests with a positive attitude while ensuring privacy and room security. A team-oriented, reliable, and punctual mindset is essential to succeed.

You will follow SOPs, perform routine administrative tasks, and help motivate a small team to uphold high cleanliness standards in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter and prepare rooms for cleaning.
• Make the bed and dust rooms/furniture.
• Replenish guest supplies and amenities.
• Clean bathrooms and closets; vacuum floors.
• Check and secure rooms; ensure guest privacy.
• Attend to guest calls, requests, and complaints in assigned area.
• Authorize entry for cleaning and turndown services as required.
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintain public areas.

What We Are Looking For

We are primarily looking for someone who is used to working in hospitality as the position requires understanding of how operations work. You are good with people and have a positive attitude and good problem-solving skills.

You are also comfortable with systems and administrative tasks and with managing a little team and keep them motivated.

The role...

• Enters and prepares the room for cleaning.
• Makes the bed.
• Dusts the room and furniture.
• Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies.
• Cleans the bathroom.
• Cleans the closet.
• Vacuums the floor and the carpet.
• Checks and secures the rooms.
• Replenish amenities according to the operational standards.
• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
• Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required
• Cleans guest bathroom/bed room/floor corridor.
• Responsible for replenishment of guest complimentary water and minibar.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of his/her work area.
• Responsible for the Hotel property in the work area.
• Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him/her.
• Authorise to enter in guestrooms for cleaning and providing turndown services as per requirement.
• Responsible for following the standard operating procedures.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of public area.
• Any other tasks assigned by manager.
