Job Description :
The Junior NPD Engineer in a manufacturing company will support the end-to-end development of new products, from concept and design to production handover. The role focuses on improving product quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring alignment with production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :
1. Product Design & Development
- Assist in the design and development of new products based on market and internal requirements
- Create and update CAD drawings and 3D models
- Support material selection and design feasibility analysis
- Work under senior engineers to prepare product specifications and development plans
2. Prototype & Pilot Production
- Coordinate the fabrication of prototypes and pilot samples
- Conduct functional, durability, and quality tests
- Analyze test results and recommend design improvements
- Support pilot production and ensure products meet manufacturing standards
3. Manufacturing Support
- Work with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable
- Assist in resolving production issues related to new products
- Support process optimization and cost reduction initiatives
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), technical drawings, and product documentation
- Maintain NPD project timelines and report progress to head of NPD
- Assist in creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new products
5. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- connect with suppliers for prototype components and materials
- Support vendor evaluation and selection for manufacturing readiness
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, product development, or R&D
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, machining, etc.)
- CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar)
- Understanding of quality and testing standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.)
