Job description

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced NPD Engineer / Senior NPD Engineer for our New Product Development (NPD) Engineering Department at Jaipur location.

The candidate should have 7+ years of relevant experience in Automotive Plastic Injection Molding Industry with hands-on experience in new product development, automotive plastic component development, mould trials, process validation, and product transfer to mass production.

• Manage complete New Product Development (NPD) activities from customer requirement to production launch.
• Develop and execute automotive plastic injection molded components as per customer specifications.
• Study customer drawings, specifications, and conduct product feasibility analysis.
• Coordinate with outside clients/customers to understand their requirements and develop new products accordingly.
• Coordinate with customers for technical discussions, approvals, and development updates.
• Manage tool/mould development, mould trials, modifications, and validation activities.
• Conduct injection molding trials and resolve process-related issues.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Design, Production, Quality, PPC, and Purchase departments.
• Prepare and maintain APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and other NPD documents.
• Support process optimization, rejection reduction, cost improvement, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure smooth transfer of new products from NPD stage to regular production.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Automotive Plastic Injection Molding Industry.
• Experience in NPD / Product Development / Project Engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and automotive components.
• Knowledge of mould development, tooling, and trial handling.
• Experience with automotive customer requirements and quality documentation.
• Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Plastic / Polymer / Production Engineering.
